Fever, Mercury Clinch Playoff Berths

The Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury clinched their spots in the WNBA playoffs on Tuesday night with victories. The Fever defeated the Chicago Sky 85-78, while the Mercury beat the Dallas Wings 85-77.

The Fever are now 18-14 on the season and are in fifth place in the WNBA standings. The Mercury are 17-15 and are in sixth place.

Mystics Continue Surge; Move into 3-way tie for 2nd place

The Washington Mystics continued their surge up the WNBA standings on Tuesday night with a 93-83 victory over the Atlanta Dream. The Mystics are now 19-13 and are in a three-way tie for second place in the WNBA standings with the Las Vegas Aces and the Connecticut Sun.

Elena Delle Donne led the Mystics with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Natasha Cloud added 20 points and 7 assists, and Kristi Toliver added 17 points.

Playoff Picture

With the Fever and Mercury clinching playoff berths, the WNBA playoff picture is starting to take shape.

The top four teams in each conference will make the playoffs. The teams will be seeded 1-8 based on their regular season records.

The top two teams in each conference will receive a double-bye to the semifinals. The teams seeded 3-6 will play in the first round of the playoffs.
