Former Super Bowl Champion and Wide Receiver Passes at Young Age
Baltimore Ravens star wide receiver Jacoby Jones has passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 39, according to multiple sources. The cause of death has not yet been released.
Jones played 10 seasons in the NFL, spending time with the Texans, Ravens, Steelers, and Chargers. He is best known for his performance in Super Bowl XLVII, where he returned a 108-yard kickoff for a touchdown and a 56-yard catch that set up another touchdown. The Ravens would go on to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 34-31.
In addition to his Super Bowl success, Jones was a three-time Pro Bowler and was named an All-Pro in 2012. He finished his career with 6,998 receiving yards and 53 touchdowns.
