India has defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets in a thrilling encounter at the T20 World Cup in Bengaluru. Surya Kumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya played vital roles in the win, with Yadav scoring an unbeaten 51 and Pandya contributing 33 not out.

India won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Afghanistani batters struggled against the Indian bowlers, with only Najibullah Zadran (43) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (28) making significant contributions. Afghanistan was eventually bowled out for 144 in 19.4 overs.

In response, India lost three early wickets but Yadav and Pandya steadied the ship. Yadav played an aggressive inning, hitting four fours and three sixes, while Pandya anchored the innings with a more measured approach. The duo added an unbroken 83-run partnership to guide India to victory with six balls to spare.

This victory extends India's unbeaten streak against Afghanistan to eight matches. India has now won seven of the eight meetings between the two sides, with one game ending in a no result.
